So I'm absolutely LOVING my new status as a mostly-sahm again. I'm still working 1 day per week for the orthodontist (Hi Steph), and I'm trying hard to be able to release product weekly at Sweet Shoppe (which is really a FT job in itself when you're as slow as I am). I LOVE the rush of creating, and I want to do as much as possible.
Unfortunately, I need to learn to relax my expectations when it comes to housework. I mean, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I can consider playing on the computer WORK. So, I feel guilty when I get lost in designing when there is laundry to be folded. I keep thinking that the house should be spotless, but that just isn't realistic for a couple of reasons. First, even though I'm home, I'm actually WORKING (which is something hard for family and friends to understand) AND it's summer time, so my family is here constantly (I know the other moms out there can relate to that one). Hopefully things will be easier once school starts back up, but in the meantime, I'll just pray that no one pops in for a visit. LOL!
So I've read (errrr "devoured") the first 2 Twilight books this week (which might explain the whole clean house issue). Oh my heck! It's been a long time since I've found myself in love with a fictional character, but Edward... ooooooooooh Edward. I've got the 3rd sitting here waiting to be read, but I've told myself I have to finish this week's products before I can start it. It'll definitely be read this weekend though, and I'm counting down the days for the release of the 4th one! I'm afraid this will be another Harry Potter where I may have to go to the store at midnight to get it.
OK back to work!
