I sat here going back and forth on whether or not I should even try to blog tonight. I'm just feeling really discouraged about things lately, and I hate to bring everyone else down with me.

So, I'll just give a short update on the house and then totally bypass the rest of my mood. We've had several showings since Christmas, and nothing is working out. It was shown twice this weekend. The overwhelming consensus is that the tile in the kitchen is what is turning most people away. It's a dark green color which I love, but apparently, not everyone shares my fondness for green. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do anything about it right now, but even if I could, how can I guarantee that I would choose something that would appeal to everyone? Our realtor says the market is picking up, and she insists we have nothing to worry about. *sigh* I wish I could believe that. Here's a picture of my kitchen (in case you're curious) -

In other news, I spent the weekend making some stuff for a baby gift. I thought it turned out pretty cute, and I can't post it in my galleries since most of it isn't digital. So, I'm sharing it here.

Yesterday was the day I've been dreading... my 30th birthday. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. LOL! I had a nice time with my family. We went out for lunch at Cracker Barrel and then came home and just hung out. I had wanted to go to a movie, but that didn't end up happening. Instead, I goofed off with the kids and watched several episodes of "How I Met Your Mother." Does it get any better than that?

I tried to scrap a little this weekend, but I just wasn't feeling it. I decided not to force it, so I'm hoping to have better results next weekend. In the meantime, be sure to check out my gallery to see my latest stuff.

So next weekend is Kendra's 10th birthday. HOW does that happen? I remember every detail of the day she was born like it was yesterday. Has it really been 10 years? She's planning her big birthday extravaganza -- a skating party complete with a Hannah Montana cake!

That's all for now. Hopefully soon I'll be updating my blog with news of a pending sale and some new layouts, too!

Well poo that people can't see past the green tile. Sigh.

Well, ya know I work at a real estate office and my boss always says April 15 is the "magic day" when home sales pick up! I know that doesn't help you now though!

One idea about your kitchen tile is maybe get a couple of longer "runner" rugs to compliment the colors in your kitchen but would take the eye away from the green tile. I hope you get an offer soon!!

Love all your new layouts, too!

Well, I think the tile is prettty - and how stupid are these people for passing on your great house just for tile????

And those baby gifts are adorable!!!
