You know you're a grown-up when...

This week, the doctors that I work for are going on vacation out of the country. That means that our office will be closed for a week and a half (I get off mid-morning on Wednesday and don't go back until the 20th). I'm THRILLED to have some time off!! But do you know what I plan to DO with my time off?

Clean.

Seriously. My house is in need of a major overhaul. Kendra is going to be gone with some friends for a few days, and with Marti starting his new job, I'm going to be alone. I can hardly wait to crank up the tunes and CLEAN this house. I'm actually a little giddy about it. And that scares me. When did I turn into my mom? LOL!

I'm hoping to have my house on the market around Christmas, so I'm starting on the major decluttering. Who knew we could collect so much STUFF in the 3 years that we've lived here?

Have you heard of Freecycle? Well, I just found it last week, and I'm addicted! I've already given away an area rug, a wicker chair, a huge lot of scrapbook supplies, a bike, some shoes, and a few other misc items. I love it!

Finally, on a digiscrapping note, I want to point you in the direction of an awesome charity kit by Songbird Ave. This month's Dreamsicle kit is being sold to help benefit the Make A Wish Foundation. Here's a preview of the kit as well as a page that I completed with it.

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope to check back in tomorrow with loads of layouts to share!

Yay on the vacation. I think that having the house to yourself will be a great chance to get things done and not have anyone to follow you around and mess it all up. :) Have fun and LOVE the layout!
