Merry Christmas (2 days late)

Good grief. The whole Christmas season has come and gone without me posting about it. I've got to say that this year, Christmas went by SO much more quickly than it has in the past. I guess that's what happens when you're working full-time again. Speaking of which, I've been off since last Thursday afternoon, and I don't go back until January 2. WOO HOOO!!!!!!

While I love the holiday season, I'm happy to report that my home is completely Christmas-free now. I always put the tree up early, but I'm also one of the first to take it down. To me, when Christmas is over, it's over. I can never wait to get my house back in shape.

Today, we brave the crowds and do a little shopping. The kids both have money burning a hole in their pockets. Anyone who knows me knows that shopping is NOT my favorite thing (unlike raindrops on roses and whiskers on kitten -- I just watched Sound of Music. Sorry). But being mother of the year, I'm going to put the kids' desires before my own. LOL!

I hope to get some scrapping done today. I did some online shopping yesterday over at the Sweet Shoppe. Lots of good sales over there, and they have a beautiful kit that's free with a $10 purchase this week! So, that's my plan for this afternoon. Though, I'm also thinking that I'd like to make an altered project with my paper supplies since I'm home this week. Either way, I plan to get something done!

We got a ton of games for Christmas. Last night, Kendra blew us all away with her vast knowledge of High School Musical. It was incredible really. We also tried out Taylor's new "Deal or No Deal" game. Tonight, I think we may try out either the new Monopoly Here & Now game or maybe my new "Friends Scene-It" game.

And finally, here are a couple of pictures from the big day. Kendra's gift from Santa was the American Girl Doll. Her name is Michelle Elizabeth Weifenbach, and she & Kendra became fast friends. I don't think they've spent a moment apart since Christmas morning! And then, here's Taylor with his big stack of presents (from both us and the grandparents). Isn't he looking grown up? Hard to believe he's going to be 13 in a couple of weeks. Well, scratch that. Blogger doesn't want to let me upload pics this morning. I'll try again later.
