What I'm Reading Now

See what a bad blogger I am? I finished The DaVinci Code last week, and I completely forgot to report back. I'm sure my 3 regular readers are all sitting on the edge of their seat waiting to hear my thoughts on the subject.

It was actually a VERY good read. It did require a little more thinking than I generally like to put into my novels, but it was surprisingly easy to read and very entertaining. While I don't buy any of the claims that the book made (afterall, it was fictional), I still enjoyed the story. Now, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie when it's on DVD.

I've now moved on to The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. I've owned this book for over 3 years now, but I keep avoiding reading it. It's another one of those that I'm afraid will require too much thought. (I realize this is not making me sound very intelligent). I finally decided to start it today, and I'm enjoying it so far. After hating The Joy Luck Club movie as a child, I read the book (also by Amy Tan) last year and liked it. So, I'm thinking maybe I'm mature enough now to appreciate a story like this. We'll see.

I'm off now to try to accomplish a few things so that the weekend isn't a complete waste. Back to work tomorrow! I'll be back to post again on Thursday (unless I think of something brilliant to say before then... don't hold your breath).

I'm glad you liked the book Libby!
And I wanted to give you props for you song selection today!

Love Journey! Last night we played, "Name that Hair Nation Tune" and Journey gave me 2 pts.

We are so in sync ;)

Can't wait to hear what you think of Bonesetter's. I thought it was pretty good, but not Amy Tan's best.

Good for you, Libby. Sounds like you've got some good books waiting for you. Let me know how the Joy Luck Club is. I've always wanted to read it. Nope, I've never seen the movie either.
