Working moms ROCK

Not that stay-at-home-moms aren't equally as cool (afterall, I was one myself until just recently). I just have a whole new appreciation for working moms. As my friends all know, I recently went back to work full-time after being a SAHM since Kendra was a baby. I started a new career in the dental field, and while I LOVE the work, I just don't know how on earth people can work and run a family. I'm so exhausted when I get home that even the thought of cooking dinner makes me want to cry. I get mostly caught up with cleaning/chores (read: laundry and dishes and anything else that HAS to be done and very little else) on the weekend only to go to work on Monday to watch them pile up again.

So, for all of the moms out there who have been juggling this crazy schedule for even longer than I have (or for those who do it with more kids than I have), my hat goes off to you.

And while I'm talking about cleaning, let me share with you my latest dilemma. My mom bought me a very cool steamer for Christmas (which I've now used twice). I really love it. Things are SO clean after I use this thing. Well, this weekend, my cat spilled his food/water all over the tile, and the grout around that area was pretty gross. So, I had the steamer out and I went to clean that small section of grout. I can't BELIEVE how clean that is now. Unfortunately, it makes the rest of my kitchen floor look disgusting. So I've added "clean grout" to my list of "must-do" chores for one of these coming weekends. It's times like this that I miss being a sahm because in the past, I would have already had it done by now. *sigh*

OK, that's it for today. I'm going to go plop myself down in front of the TV for the rest of the evening (Last Comic Standing is on tonight!) .

I PROMISE that my future blog postings will cover more exciting material that the grout in my kitchen floor. I just really needed to get that out apparently. LOL! In an effort to make this post a little less mundane, I'll share with you a picture that makes me smile. This is Kendra and her very best friend in the whole world... her grandpa.

Well, as a working mom, I totally understand. That grout would just have to wait until the weekend - six months from now. You have made the transition so well, though... really, you have!

Go Libby!

And when you get your grout all gorgeous, feel free to bring that steamer on over here and do mine.

I'm actually very excited to read about your grout - well more importantly the steamer you're using to clean it. I've considered getting one - what kind do you have?

See now you have material for your next post - steamer discussion!
